DUNMORE Honored as a Master Supplier by EADS Astrium for Fourth Consecutive Year

Bristol, Pa., July 11, 2013 - DUNMORE Europe GmbH has been recognized by EADS Astrium as a Master Supplier, an exclusive status held by the top tier of Astrium partners. DUNMORE is the key supplier to Astruim for filmic materials used in satellite construction. This most recent award marks the fourth time DUNMORE has been awarded Master Supplier status since 2009, an unprecedented and unmatched achievement since the award's commencement.

EADS Astrium is a satellite giant, responsible for delivering telecommunication infrastructure for most of the world including Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. These satellite systems are deployed for communications, science and navigation. In addition to satellites, Astrium is the prime contractor for European space transport, including launch vehicles and ISS cargo.

Protecting the satellite systems and spacecrafts from the harsh environment are DUNMORE MLI blankets and tapes. These materials consist of lightweight reflective films assembled in many thin layers. This construction provides thermal protection for key areas of spacecraft, such as around instrumentation, antennas and structural members. DUNMORE insulation tapes are also used around its circuitry and wiring harnesses.

Astrium recently awarded Master Supplier to DUNMORE for consistently providing outstanding quality, delivery and customer support. "DUNMORE is the only company to receive the Master Supplier award four consecutive years," said Andrew Lancaster, Astrium's Head of Direct Materials Operations UK. DUNMORE is honored to receive this recognition and believes it to be a result of a partnership ideology embraced by both companies.
