Copper Coated Film
Copper Film

Dunmore is an industry leader in producing highly technical copper coated films. Dunmore's expertise in metallized copper film and other copper substrate products stretches across a broad spectrum of uses and industries. Whether you are looking for conductive film or specific thermal properties, Dunmore can provide you with the right solution to meet your project requirements. Depending on your needs, we can provide you with a copper substrate that is unprotected or protected with a proprietary non-corrosive coating to protect the copper from oxidation.
Copper Substrate Options
Our copper metallizing capabilities can open up new design possibilities for your project by providing new alternatives to traditional copper foil laminates. Copper film has weight advantages and gives you greater processing flexibility as you design and manufacture your next generation product. In order to meet your strict weight requirements, Dunmore can produce a conductive thin film materials that is 6 microns thick. Dunmore also has the capabilities to copper metalize a variety of other substrates. Along with our standard copper metallized PET film, Dunmore can work with you to produce some of the following types of copper substrate materials:
- Copper coated PET film
- Copper coated polyimide film
- Copper coated PEEK film
- Woven Fabric & Non-woven Fabric
Conductivity of Copper Substrates
Dunmore's standard copper film, which uses a 25 micron PET film has a conductivity range of 0.4 - 0.8 ohms per square. A heavier copper deposition on substates can be achieved to give conductivity levels of 0.30 ohms per square.
Copper Substrate Applications
Copper film and copper conductive film can be used for a variety of applications. Typical applications for Dunmore's copper films include:
- Decorative
- Labels & Graphics
- Electronic shielding
- EMI shielding material
- RF shielding material
- Thermal Management
- Seed layer for electroplating
- Tape backing film
Copper Film Performance
Dunmore tested our copper coated film against a standard Al coated film on a 92 gauge PET film. Along with having superior infrared reflectance compared to Al film, our copper film has the following attributes:
