What is Slot Die Coating

Slot-die coating is a coating method where a functional chemistry or coating is applied to a flexible substrate in a roll-to-roll process. Unlike other coating methods, you can achieve greater precision with slot die coating. That is why the slot die coating process is the preferred coating technique for applications that require very thin coatings and optical applications. Slot die coating also has the benefit of being able to process a wider range of chemistries with drastically different viscosities.
